Consultant Psychiatrist – CYP Service, Self-Employed Contractor

Role Overview

• Provide specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of Children and Young People with various mental health conditions
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based interventions
• Maintain high standards of patient-centred care

Requirements

• Medical degree with a postgraduate qualification (MRCPsych or equivalent)
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
• Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or Paediatrics
• Minimum of two years’ post-CCT practice in CAMHS and/or community neurodevelopmental pathways
• Experience working autonomously within multidisciplinary clinical services
• Strong understanding of clinical governance frameworks and regulatory requirements in mental health services
• High-level clinical judgement and decision-making across complex CYP presentations
• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of CYP mental health conditions, including ADHD and ASD
• Ability to adapt to digital-first and remote clinical service delivery models
