Use state item specifications to write effective items for different projects
Independently conduct preliminary and content reviews
Lead educator content review meetings, rubric validation meetings, range finding meetings, data review meetings, and standard setting meetings
Write blueprints and translate them into item pool development plans
Lead math item pool development for a project
Independently communicate with state clients
May serve as a Math Content Lead for a project or a Team Lead for an internal team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field + 5-8 years’ experience in math assessment or math education-related fields or a Master’s degree + 3-6 years’ experience in math assessment or math education-related fields
Strong knowledge and experience with the U.S. Education and Education Assessment
Analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to identify problems and conceptualize solutions
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Skilled at collaboration
Required travel for this position ranges from 1 week to 8 weeks per year for 2-6 days at a time.
