Performs accounting activities such as journal entries to ensure timely completion of the monthly, quarterly and annual book close cycles, collaborating with the team to meet deadlines and trouble shoot production issues
Creates effective financial statement schedules, audit support schedules and other reports in a timely manner, highlighting potential issues for management attention
Assists in the documentation of internal controls and performs assigned internal control processes such as general ledger reconciliations
Identifies issues and assists in resolving them. Learns how data flows through the financial systems to the accounting function in order to be able to identify issues and take action to address them
Makes suggestions to improve the business value and efficiency of the work performed and collaborates with the team on evaluating and implementing suggestions
Actively participates in increasingly complex department projects and continuous improvement activities. Shares expertise with others to accomplish shared goals
Requirements
Bachelors or Masters Degree in commerce or finance or qualified/semi-qualified professional accountant (Graduate (Finance) , Post-Graduate (Finance) , BBA, MBA, CA, CMA, CS) 5
