Ownership of program execution plan and technical baseline of all systems engineering work products related to Nodes, including diagnostics and communication of any areas of concern in ability to meet the baselines
Communication and coordination across internal and external stakeholders to enable effective and timely decision making
Lead efforts to integrate vertically and horizontally among stakeholders to ensure a consistent vision and implementation for the integrated nodes within the Command System
Lead structured trade studies to evaluate alternative design solutions to resolve technical issues that impact multiple product teams with varying priorities and needs
Identify gaps within the design and/or requirements; provide a path forward for resolution that optimally balances technical and program constraints
Effectively leading the Node Integration organization, ensuring that the team has the skills, resources, role clarity, tools, processes and other ingredients necessary to ensure successful execution; partnering as required with Functional Homeroom and operating unit leadership as necessary to address areas of concern.
Convert high level strategies and expectations into actionable direction for the Node Integration team, ensuring priorities and direction are aligned with leadership intent. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
