Directs and guides the activities of a team with prime responsibility in Project and Program Management.
Evaluates final results of research and development projects to assure accomplishment of technical objectives.
Reviews progress of technical projects and makes recommendations for actions necessary to achieve desired results.
Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Networking with the most relevant partners / consortiums in India for NXP to kick off collaborative system innovation projects in Physical AI / Robotics.
Identify upcoming winning companies ( in 5-8 years) in the India Ecosystems ( e.g. Start Ups ) that can grow with NXP and can create growth for NXP.
Create and maintain network with relevant universities and research centers that are relevant for NXP’s ambitions for collaborative R&D projects.
Create yearly System Innovation R&D program in line with NXP’s Northstar strategy and defined technology and business drivers.
Accountable for the execution of the yearly program (objectives, budget, timelines).
Identify and evaluate India government funding opportunities for local R&D programs.
Work in sync with NXP India organization as well as Global CTO System Innovation team.
Requirements
A university degree in electrical engineering (Master) or comparable experience in Semiconductor Technology with 15+ years of experience.
Knowledge in applications like in Robotics, embedded AI very helpful.
2-3 years of experience in engineering team lead is helpful.
Good ability to build networks with various stakeholders like e.g. customers, suppliers, start-ups, partners, research center and universities etc.
Good network into India ecosystem for the a.m. mentioned applications.
