Role Overview
- Collaborate across organisational boundaries to provide Platform Engineering and Site Reliability expertise
- Support applications deployed within the Digital tribe
- Add input to and review system design decisions
- Contribute to modernisation journey by refining delivery practices
Requirements
- Strong Unix administration skills
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, Site Reliability, and CI/CD practices
- Keen interest in system automation, delivery and Infrastructure as Code (IAC)
- Ability to define CI/CD pipelines to deploy resilient platform components
- Knowledge of building and running Cloud Native Infrastructure including Kubernetes & Docker
- Experience building automated CI/CD Pipelines using Jenkins or similar
- Knowledge of appropriate technologies such as Helm, Jenkins, Terraform, Docker
- Strong shell scripting (bash, Python, Ruby, Java)
- Experience leveraging monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Dynatrace
- Knowledge of Security engineering practices and tools
