Role Overview
- Monitoring the Vessels Statutory Deck equipment Certificates ensuring all are in date and highlighting to the Staff Captain any that are due for renewal
- Conducting Deck Officer Duty and Deck Department Hazardous Familiarisation training
- Assisting Staff Captain as required with scheduling, planning and management of Deck maintenance, inspections and surveys
Requirements
- Valid COC (STCW Reg II/2) with verification
- Valid STCW certifications required for the position
- Excellent knowledge of ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and other maritime regulations
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and crisis management skills
- Advanced English level; additional languages are an asset and recommended.
- Safety culture and mindset
- Experience with multicultural working environment
- Substantial experience in same rank on large cruise ships, with Azipod propulsion systems
- Experience in worldwide itinerary
