Role Overview
- Lead and oversee all corporate accounting functions, including general ledger, general accounting, technical accounting, company consolidation and rebate accounting.
- Manage and continuously improve the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
- Own the consolidation process, including elimination entries, foreign currency translation, and integration of international entities.
- Direct the preparation of external financial statements and footnotes in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Establish, implement, and maintain accounting policies, ensuring alignment with GAAP and evolving regulatory requirements. Monitor emerging accounting standards, assess business impact, and lead adoption and implementation.
- Oversee technical accounting research and documentation, including development of white papers on complex or unusual transactions.
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance; work with external auditors to support efficient audit processes.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
- Partner cross-functionally to analyze financial results, identify key drivers, and provide insight to executive leadership.
- Support M&A activities, including post-close integration and purchase accounting in collaboration with valuation teams.
- Direct and implement accounting policy development and communication.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on accounting matters, financial risks, and policy implications.
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing accounting organization, including managing managers, succession planning, and talent development.
- Lead or contribute to ad hoc projects, including business analysis and evaluation of significant transactions.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience managing and developing teams, including leading through subordinate managers.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated experience with financial close processes, consolidation of international results, general ledger management, and corporate accounting operations.
- Experience working with external auditors and leading audit engagements.
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive initiatives across the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience in a private equity–owned or high-growth environment.
- Background in manufacturing, distribution, or similarly complex operational environments.
- Experience with financial consolidations, including multinational entities and foreign currency.
- Prior involvement in mergers and acquisitions, including post-close integration and purchase accounting.
- Demonstrated success in driving process improvements and implementing scalable accounting practices.
- Experience with technical accounting research and preparing formal documentation (e.g., white papers).
- Proven ability to lead organizational change and influence without direct authority.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Benefits
- The base salary range for this position is $190,000.00
