Technical Project Manager – Battery Storage, Grid Connection, Industrial

Role Overview

• Project management: Lead projects from contract signature through commissioning — keeping schedule, quality and costs under control and acting as the central point of contact for the customer.
• Technical implementation: Coordinate installation, connection and integration of the storage system with electrical contractors, civil contractors, manufacturers, plant certifiers and customer teams.
• Interpret one-line diagrams (SLD) and metering concepts and proactively consider them; ensure technical requirements (connection concept, protection, safety) are met.
• Prepare and submit applications to grid operators and metering point operators.
• Proactively manage queries from the grid operator and consolidate technical response packages.
• Support documentation and compliance with relevant standards (e.g. VDE-AR-N 4105/4110) together with partners.
• Identify technical risks early, provide clear go/no‑go signals and develop pragmatic solutions.
• Use project experience to refine CRM processes, checklists, templates and simple standards that make future projects faster.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in technical project management or project execution in energy/building services, PV/storage projects or industrial electrical engineering
• Degree in Electrical/Energy Engineering, Electrical Power Systems or Industrial Engineering with an energy focus OR certified technician/master electrician with relevant project management experience
• Strong customer focus: Confident presence with customers and a view that high customer satisfaction is an essential part of the job
• Understanding of electrical infrastructure in commercial/industrial environments (low voltage with interface to medium voltage, including switchgear, transformers, network protection, and RLM metering equipment)
• Experience collaborating with grid operators or metering point operators and a basic understanding of grid connection processes (e.g. VDE-AR-N 4105/4110)
• Confident reading of one-line diagrams (SLD) and technical specifications; ideally initial exposure to protection concepts and connection design
• Native German (C2) and good English for internal coordination
• Willingness to travel for on-site visits to our industrial customers
