Contribute to all aspects of verification and validation of naval communications systems for military and commercial applications
Contribute and develop test design, planning, automation and execution of tests to deliver a product of the highest quality
Interact with product owners, development teams and stakeholders to develop a strong understanding of the product and testing objectives
Contribute to design review and ensure design requirements are testable
Define test specifications covering low to complex system or integration functionalities
Develop and document test plans and procedures, execute tests and generate reports
Define and set up the test and validation environment including scripts development and potentially contacting vendors, asking for samples and quotation
Develop and run automated tests covering functionality and diagnostic requirements
Communicate critical issues and status updates in a timely manner
Debug test failures and analyze root causes
Plan and participate in product integration, verification and validation activities as needed
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
6-10 years experience in the systems engineering life cycle, including typical tools for requirements development (e.g. DOORS)
Experience with integration and test of military or commercial systems
Knowledge of naval communication systems
Knowledge of environmental test conditions, both electrical and mechanical
Resolution of technical issues arising during the implementation, integration and testing of the system and subsystem elements
Strong verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
Understanding of verification methodology and software development life cycle
