This position is responsible for monitoring & controlling the fermentation/purification process through field work, communication, and lab testing, all while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards
This is a 12-hr. rotating shift position (WORK Monday, Tuesday; OFF Wednesday, Thursday; WORK Friday, Saturday, Sunday; Then, OFF Monday Tuesday; WORK Wednesday, Thursday; OFF Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
2 weeks on Dayshift and then 2 weeks on Nightshift (5:30 a.m./p.m.
5:30 p.m./a.m.)
Diagnose, troubleshoot & correct any issues when they develop outside of normal operating conditions while at workstation
Maintain data sheets with necessary test results completed and documented in required fields
Gain an understanding for the automation of the process, keeping process running within required parameters
Maintain process consistency and monitor process trends to troubleshoot abnormal conditions
Communicate process status to production management via daily memos, emails, documentation
Perform light maintenance duties such as diaphragm replacement, pre and final filter replacement, change out valves or probes, etc.
Suggest/implement process improvement, cost down, or best practice ideas
Continually strive for increasing processing efficiencies
Complete 5S activities to keep the work area clean and organized
Complete shift notes and exchange information between shifts
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience in food or feed industry manufacturing setting is preferred
Must be self-motivated and show a willingness to learn
