Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related technical discipline
5+ years of progressive experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including system design, applications engineering, integration, technical sales support, and service
Demonstrated expertise designing multi-MW scale energy storage systems, with strong command of both DC and AC electrical design principles
High level of technical aptitude spanning from battery cell fundamentals through C&I and utility-scale battery systems
Strong working knowledge of secondary battery chemistries, degradation mechanisms, system architectures, and operational limitations across diverse duty cycles
Practical experience with balance-of-system (BOS) equipment, including inverters, medium-voltage transformers, combiner boxes, DC/DC converters, EMS, and BMS platforms
Strong knowledge of NEC and applicable regulatory codes and standards for PV and energy storage installations, including NFPA 70 (NEC), IEEE 1547, UL 9540, UL 1741, and other relevant global standards
Ability to interpret operational data, apply statistical analysis techniques, and produce clear, actionable reports
Familiarity with competitive energy storage products in the market and the ability to clearly articulate differentiated technical value
Proven ability to operate cross-functionally across engineering, product, sales, marketing, and field teams
Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accountability for deliverables
Willingness and ability to travel 10–20% to support customer engagement, project development, site validation, and industry events.
