Role Overview
Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of existing clustered HPC systems and develop strategies to enhance performance, scalability, and utilization
Serve as a primary technical contact for HPC end users, providing guidance on running simulations and promoting best practices across the user community
Design, write, and maintain software to drive, tune, and monitor EDA workloads within the HPC grid
Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation related to HPC infrastructure and EDA workflows
Research emerging software and systems technologies to support recommendations and purchasing decisions
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure secure, stable, and optimized HPC operations
Requirements
Minimum of 2.5
5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or High-Performance Computing
Hands-on experience with HPC system software and cluster management tools, including job schedulers such as LSF, SGE, RTDA or similar
Strong proficiency with Unix/Linux operating systems and file systems
Fundamental programming and scripting skills using Bash, Perl, Python, Tcl, and/or C/C++
Experience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and suites from Cadence, Synopsys, and Siemens
Familiarity with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence frameworks (e.g.,LLM, TensorFlow) is a plus
Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership for complex, large-scale computing projects
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently identify and resolve HPC grid issues
Ability to define and implement processes that maintain system performance and promote best practices
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Proven ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively with team members
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
