Supports hepatobiliary and GI surgical patients through coordination of care, patient education, and communication across multidisciplinary teams.
Blends outpatient clinic support with administrative coordination.
Works behind the scenes to ensure seamless patient care coordination, surgery scheduling, communication management, and clinical workflow support.
Schedules surgeries, educates patients on what to expect before and after procedures, and follows up with patients requiring additional support.
Responds to patient questions in the InBasket, prepares charts for future appointments, coordinates care tasks, and maintains ongoing communication with the surgical team.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience.
Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with the Compact Act.
Basic Life Support Certification or obtains certification within one month of employment. Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements.
