Perform technical work supporting the planning, testing, and maintenance of AEP metering facilities
Functions as a team leader to resolve conflict and builds consensus
Develops and presents technical reports clearly, concisely, and effectively
Prepares cost estimates for non-routine work, i.e., special projects as assigned
Repairs moderately complex electronic instruments, controls, and equipment
Provides support in the daily operation of the repair shop facilities
Develops software programs related to meter services activities that are cost effective
Participates in the development of training material and provides training support for internal and external audiences
Performs duties in accordance with Company safety rules, regulations and practices
Requirements
Must have a two-year associate degree in electrical/electronic technology
Two years experience as a Meter Technician, Meter Electrician A, P&C Technician, or equivalent
Possess a valid state driver license
Must have safe work habits and adhere to all safety rules and practices of the Company
Acceptable written and verbal communications skills
Must be willing to work overtime as required by job responsibilities
Must acquire qualifications necessary to perform duties of the next higher classification in the line of progression, or vacate the current job classification
