Role Overview
What you will do:
- Work hand-in-hand with the founder on special projects that drive step-change growth and market expansion
- Lead analysis and due diligence on potential acquisitions and strategic partnerships across European markets
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to expand Plum's TAM, including new product verticals and geographic markets
- Synthesise complex, unstructured information into clear strategic recommendations and actionable plans
- Build financial models and business cases to assess commercial viability and future opportunities
- Take ownership of cross-functional initiatives from conception through execution in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Act as a trusted thought partner to the founder, bringing curiosity, commercial acumen, and fresh perspectives to strategic decisions
Requirements
What we look for:
- Proven track record in investment banking or corporate finance, ideally within financial services
- Demonstrated excellence in analytical and financial modelling skills, you're exceptional with numbers and commercial thinking
- Fluency in a continental European language (in addition to English) and understanding of European markets
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving situations
- Comfortable taking calculated risks and making decisions with imperfect information
- Natural curiosity and drive to understand how things work and how they could work better
- Passion for Plum's mission to help people automatically manage their money and build wealth for the future
