- Collaborate on localization projects for various gaming titles
- Ensure the best gaming experience for JAPANESE players
- Translate content from SIMPLIFIED CHINESE to JAPANESE
- Work on indie games to AAA titles
Requirements
- Native-level proficiency in JAPANESE
- Strong command of ENGLISH and SIMPLIFIED CHINESE
- Deep passion for gaming and familiarity with gaming terminology
- Minimum 2 years of experience in gaming localization (SIMPLIFIED CHINESE>JAPANESE)
- Expertise in Adventure, Strategy, and Fantasy games
- Skilled in CAT tools (preferably in memoQ)
- Detail-oriented with excellent grammar, spelling, and terminology skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced, creative environment
- Must meet ONE of the following: A Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or equivalent with significant translation training) or 2+ years of translation experience + a college degree or 5+ years of translation experience (no degree required) or a translation certification issued by an appropriate government body
