Approximately 85% of your working time will be spent on ongoing financial accounting: precise, compliant and well-structured
Complete day-to-day accounting: recording, categorizing and reconciling all business transactions in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
Account and bank reconciliations — reliable and timely
Accounts payable and receivable: processing incoming and outgoing invoices and payments
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and financial reports
Preparation for the annual financial statements and collaboration with external tax advisors and auditors
Ensuring compliance with tax regulations, in particular VAT returns
Support with payroll accounting and related HR administrative tasks
Maintaining an audit-proof and structured document filing system
Supporting the Head of Finance with financial planning, budgeting and ad-hoc analyses
Assisting with financial management and tracking of our growing ISA portfolio
Contributing to operational and administrative finance tasks as the organization grows
Contributing to the development and optimization of our financial processes
Requirements
Completed vocational training or degree in a commercial field, e.g., Accountant, Financial Accountant, Tax Clerk, Business Administrator, Business Administration (BWL), or equivalent commercial qualification
At least 2 years of full-time professional experience in accounting (or equivalent)
Solid knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB) and tax regulations
Experience with VAT returns and preparation of annual financial statements
Confident user of accounting software (e.g., DATEV, Lexoffice, Sevdesk or similar)
Very good skills in spreadsheets (Excel / Google Sheets)
German at native level (C2) and English at least B2 level
High level of care, accuracy and a structured working style
Ability to work independently and manage priorities responsibly
