Role Overview
- Deliver engaging, individualized virtual behavior support and academic coaching tailored to each student's behavioral goals, accommodations, and unique learning profile.
- Implement structured behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the guidance of a BCBA, focusing on skill acquisition, emotional regulation, and reducing challenging behaviors that impact learning.
- Adapt instruction and reinforcement in real time based on student focus, engagement, and emotional regulation, utilizing creative digital rewards and interactive tools to maintain momentum.
- Track behavior data diligently during sessions and communicate effectively with families, supervising BCBAs, and, where applicable, school district partners.
Requirements
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the BACB preferred, or equivalent experience/education in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Psychology, or Special Education.
- Experience working 1:1 with individuals on the Autism Spectrum or with developmental and behavioral needs.
- Comfort with coaching or collaborating with parents or guardians on-screen to assist with environmental modifications and physical prompting when necessary..
- Ability to design and deliver lesson plans aligned to student goals and accommodations
- Strong virtual instruction skills — comfort with video conferencing, digital whiteboards, and keeping students engaged online
- Ability to pass a background check
- Reliable computer, internet, webcam, and quiet workspace
