Provide direct patient care, including: o Observing and reporting on physical and mental health conditions o Assisting with physical and mental health assessments o Administering medications as directed by nursing staff o Preparing meals as needed o Assisting with facilitated programming o Documenting hourly observations and assessments in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Communicate professionally and effectively with IHS staff, administration, therapists, nursing, and other team members to optimize care coordination
Follow all IHS, GPARDDU, and federal regulations, policies, and procedures
Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and notify nursing staff when medical attention is required
Requirements
Current/active CNA certification
At least 24 months of direct patient care experience within the last 48 months
Current/active BLS certification (American Heart Association compliant)
