Role Overview
- Using safe lifting techniques
- Efficiently sorting, handling, loading, and unloading freight from over-the-road equipment, containers, city trailers, and/or straight trucks
- Operating material handling equipment in a safe manner
- Communicating any issues to the supervisor that can arise from loading and unloading
- Keeping up to date with new systems and technology
- Participating in daily inventory processes, auditing, and researching discrepancies
- Demonstrating reliability and commitment to punctuality
- Performing all job tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work well with a team
- Proficient in attention to detail
- Ability to work overtime (as needed) to meet operational and customer demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
