Oversee the financial accounting and closing processes for the company and its subsidiaries
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of financial reports in compliance with statutory regulations
Manage and coordinate with the wider Finance team to ensure month-end is closed strictly within agreed timelines
Lead the consolidation of month-end accounts
Review management accounts
Prepare and submit comprehensive analytical reviews to the Financial Controller, FP&A team, and CFO
Conduct weekly funding reviews and present formal payment recommendations to the CFO
Manage corporate payments and serve as the administrator for banking access
Oversee the review of payroll, VAT, and other critical external regulatory submissions across the group companies
Own the technical accounting and inter-departmental coordination for all intangible assets and R&D tax claims
Proactively strengthen finance processes and internal controls to minimize risk and ensure data integrity
Drive enhancements to financial systems, automation, and reporting capabilities
Maintain significant involvement in high-level corporate projects, including entity restructuring, system integrations
Directly manage, support, and mentor 2 direct reports

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)
Minimum of 5 years of UK and international accounting experience
Strong experience of financial reporting and month-end close processes within a medium-sized and multi-currency organisation
Strong balance sheet control, reconciliation, and financial governance experience
Experience supporting external audits and statutory reporting processes
Excellent advanced Excel skills
Good understanding of IFRS application
Strong familiarity with accounting, payroll, tax, and compliance reporting within the UK and other EU countries
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar
