Phase Manager (PPM): Your primary responsibility will be project-based leadership, with short-term focus on project scope, budget, task delegation, client interaction and execution, and ensuring technical quality.
Consult regularly with the Team Lead on key decisions and activities.
QA / QC work: Implement the NEI Quality Assurance Plan. Check the work of designers, drafters, and engineers for overall quality and accuracy.
Training: Train junior level engineers and designers in areas of physical design of electrical substations & BESS facilities.
Writing: Assist with developing technical guidelines and training documents.
Work closely with Technical Directors and Team Leads on projects within the department.
Perform the review of detailed physical engineering for all aspects of electric power substations & BESS facilities including multi-disciplinary coordination.
Prepare hand and computer-based calculations and models for physical designs.
Manage deliverables and deadlines to ensure they are submitted on time for both internal QA/QC deadlines and external deadlines to client.
Provide coaching and mentoring to Team Members.
Perform occasional field inspection and construction supervision services when needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s in Civil or Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution
5+ years of relevant engineering or field experience
FE or PE preferred
Proficiency with AutoCAD, MathCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
Effective written and oral communication skills
Good interpersonal skills.
