Role Overview
- Review medical records and identify key details
- Turn details into clear, well-written summaries
- Perform quality assurance review of peer review reports
- Ensure clear, concise, evidence-based rationales for recommendations
- Verify compliance with client specifications and state mandates
- Identify inconsistencies within reports and obtain clarification
- Assist in resolution of client complaints and quality assurance issues
- Ensure adherence to federal ERISA and state mandates
- Provide insight and direction to management on consultant quality
Requirements
- Nursing license
- Professional writing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medications and laboratory values
- Mathematical ability (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Qualified typist with a minimum of 40 W.P.M preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet
- Excellent skills in English usage, grammar, punctuation and style
- Ability to follow instructions and respond to upper management’s directions accurately
- Strong accuracy and thoroughness
- Ability to work independently and prioritize work activities
- Maintain confidentiality
