About this role
Role Overview
- Product Focus: Actively participate in solution discussions in addition to technical execution.
- Development: Build and maintain applications with a React and Next.js (TypeScript) frontend and a Node.js (TypeScript) backend using Bun and Hono.
- Migration: Work on migrating applications from Scala to Node.js.
- BFF Architecture: Work with Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architectures.
- Cloud Integration: Integrate and build solutions using AWS Cloud services (Lambda, S3, API Gateway) and DynamoDB.
- Code Quality: Ensure code quality through automated tests with Jest, with shared responsibility across the team (no dedicated QA).
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other areas and cross-functional squads in a 100% English environment.
- Technical Autonomy: Execute tasks independently and collaborate on software architecture decisions.
Requirements
- Advanced English: Comfortable participating in meetings and writing/reviewing technical documentation.
- Frontend Experience: Knowledge of React, Next.js, and TypeScript for building user interfaces.
- Backend Experience: Experience with Node.js and interest in the Bun + Hono ecosystem.
- Scala Knowledge: Basic understanding of Scala with a focus on code migration.
- BFF Architecture: Experience with Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture.
- Databases: Practical experience with MySQL and familiarity with DynamoDB.
- AWS Services: Familiarity with AWS cloud services (Lambda, S3, API Gateway).
- Automated Testing: Experience writing tests with Jest.
- Quality Mindset: Focus on testability, maintainability, and best practices.
- Independent Work: Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in self-organized teams.
