Process invoices, receipts, and expense reports in line with Simprints’ financial policies and procedures
Support monthly financial reconciliations and reporting to the HQ Finance team
Assist with tracking project budgets and flagging variances to relevant stakeholders
Ensure compliance with local tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
Perform OFAC screening of funding recipients
Manage distribution of cash to participants through mobile money or local banks
Maintain controls to ensure funding is reaching intended recipients
Maintain accurate financial records to support audits and internal reviews
Perform market assessments, ensuring that there’s an annual review of all core/common costs
Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the Ethiopia office, including supplies, facilities, and logistics
Coordinate travel, visas, and accommodation for staff and visitors
Support country project manager to facilitate discussions with government offices and partners to secure approvals and documents
Act as the main point of contact with local vendors, service providers, and office partners
Lead procurement and vendor management in line with organisational policies
Ad hoc vehicle safety checks
Booking training venues and supporting on all admin aspects for routine meetings and trainings
Support onboarding and offboarding of staff and consultants in coordination with the HQ People team
Maintain accurate local HR files and documentation
Assist with timesheet collection, leave tracking, and local HR compliance requirements
Serve as a local point of contact for people-related operational queries
Requirements
Strong financial administration and bookkeeping skills
Experience supporting budgets and financial reporting
High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
A service-oriented mindset, comfortable supporting diverse teams
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both local teams and HQ stakeholders
Experience working in international development.
