Participate in the full application lifecycle, with a focus on developing new features and delivering value to users
Develop, test, integrate, and deploy backend, frontend, and API solutions
Ensure maintenance and high availability of GHGSat's web services for both internal and external users
Collaborate with developers, designers, quality assurance (QA), and Product Owners to design and build new features

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Proven experience designing and shipping scalable web applications that deliver real user value
Strong experience with Python and TypeScript in a web environment
Experience designing and deploying cloud services on AWS
Experience deploying containerized applications with Docker and/or Kubernetes
Experience with databases and ETL systems, including PostgreSQL
Proficiency in test-driven development (TDD), CI/CD pipelines, and technical documentation
Experience with Python web frameworks such as Django or FastAPI
Experience with Python ETL tools such as pandas, SQLAlchemy, or dbt
Frontend development experience with React and Material UI
Experience with deployment tools such as Argo in a Kubernetes environment
Comfort working in a Linux environment
Entrepreneurial mindset, autonomy, and determination
Interest in remote sensing technologies and the space sector
This role requires the ability to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance.
