Acts as a technical advisor to project’s Construction Management Team and contractors
Independently determines approaches and develops solutions to resolve HSE Specific Site issues
Performs continual monitoring of equipment, structures, and work in progress to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Stops work when unsafe and determines corrective actions
Develops and conducts project H&S and environmental orientation sessions for all personnel
Leads and develops content for project weekly safety meetings
Assists with maintaining the Fluence online project HSE database
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in EPC projects and/or the heavy construction industry
Safety certification such as Construction Health and Safety Engineer, Construction Health and Safety Technician, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Safety Management Specialist (SMS), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or an equivalent industry-recognized certification
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Safety Engineering, or a related field preferred
Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices
Fluency in English and Spanish is considered a strong asset.
