Role Overview
The Principal Product Manager
Global Payments will own the product roadmap, and execution for Veem’s global payment capabilities across pay-in, payout, money movement, partner integrations, and payment operations.
This leader will define how Veem expands and optimizes payment rails, local market capabilities, partner coverage, reliability, cost, speed, and customer experience across global markets.
This is a senior, strategic product role that requires deep payments domain expertise, strong technical judgment, and the ability to partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Sales, and external payment partners.
Define and drive the roadmap, and success metrics for global payment capabilities, including pay-ins, payouts, payment methods, payment routing, settlement, reconciliation, and partner integrations.
Identify market, customer, and operational needs across regions and translate them into scalable product requirements and prioritized delivery plans.
Evaluate, select, onboard, and manage payment partners and vendors based on capabilities, geographic coverage, reliability, cost, compliance posture, technical fit, service levels, and long-term scalability.
Lead end-to-end product requirements and execution for pay-in and payout partner integrations, including APIs, payment method enablement, transaction status flows, webhooks, exception handling, reconciliation, reporting, and operational readiness.
Improve authorization/conversion rates, payout success rates, processing speed, cost-to-serve, transaction visibility, resilience, and customer experience across payment flows.
Partner with Engineering, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Data, Finance, Customer Success, and Sales to deliver high-quality global payment capabilities that are scalable, compliant, and operationally supportable.
Work with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure payment products meet regulatory, licensing, AML, sanctions, fraud, data privacy, and partner obligations across global markets.
Stay ahead of payment industry trends, local payment methods, cross-border payment capabilities, regulatory changes, fintech infrastructure, and emerging partner solutions.
Requirements
10+ years of project management experience, including significant experience in payments, fintech, financial services, or payment infrastructure; 3+ years in a senior or principal-level product role preferred.
Deep understanding of global payments, including pay-ins, payouts, payment methods, acquiring, bank rails, FX, settlement, reconciliation, payment operations, and cross-border money movement.
Proven experience evaluating, negotiating with, integrating, and managing external payment partners, processors, banking partners, payment networks, or fintech infrastructure providers.
Hands-on experience leading API-based partner integrations and working closely with engineering teams on technical design, data flows, reliability, monitoring, and operational tooling.
Strong understanding of risk, fraud, AML/CFT, sanctions, KYC/KYB, data privacy, and regulatory considerations related to payment products.
Experience with B2B payments, cross-border payments, payment orchestration, local payment methods, banking integrations, card acquiring, ACH/EFT, wires, RTP/faster payments, wallets, or payout networks.
Strong analytical skills with experience using data to evaluate partner performance, payment conversion, cost, reliability, and customer impact.
Excellent communication, executive presence, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Ability to operate strategically while also driving detailed execution in a fast-moving environment.
