About this role
Role Overview
Participates in the design and delivery of training programs, including presentation materials
Conducts training needs assessments and provide recommendations
Teaches others through classroom facilitation and feedback.
Assists in the development of monthly training programs, scheduling, training calendar release and administration
Designs, develops and implements training curriculum, seminars and educational resources for participants.
Coordinates with local agencies to provide additional training courses for Welfare-To-Work participants.
Maintains current knowledge of County resources and agencies, including community events, seminars and workshops.
Designs, develops and implements training curriculum, seminars and educational resources for Staff.
Maintains up to date with Program Guide and Regulations.
Works in partnership with existing Trainers in training development and delivery.
Monitors, evaluates and records staff / participant progress.
Works in partnership with Staff to provide support, coaching and development for participants.
Ensures that PCG objectives and monthly goals are met and support contractual goals.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Experience in coaching and development preferred
At least 2 years of experience in training/workforce development
Knowledge of commonly used training concepts, practices and procedures
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to compose reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast paced environment
Knowledge of MS Windows, Excel and Word preferred
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Experience in a classroom setting; taught workshops, seminars etc.
1-2 years' experience teaching adults
Must have competent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be computer literate and have MS Word, Excel, Access, PPT and Internet skills.
Ability to learn specialized databases and software systems.
Ability to recognize and maintain the confidentiality of all materials in the work setting.
Ability to work across all levels of management and staff.
Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with federal, state and county agencies as well as the general public.
Ability to partner with and motivate participants including those with both physical and/or mental disabilities.
Display a professional level of empathy for participants and respect for cultural differences.
