About this role
Role Overview
- Work with heavy duty power equipment and hand tools in the construction and repair of outside plant cable facilities
- Load required tools and materials into assigned Company vehicle
- Drive vehicles with three or more axles
- Review and analyze complex schematic drawings
- Perform various types of construction operations
- Follow standards and practices while meeting service deadlines
- Communicate and coordinate with other work groups
- Perform preventative maintenance on company tools, equipment, and motor vehicle
- Respond to customer inquiries about products and work operations
Requirements
- Must have a California Class A Driver s License within the first six months after hire date
- Must pass a Federal DOT Medical Examination
- Experience with heavy duty power equipment and hand tools
- Ability to load and unload heavy tools and materials
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor and lifting
- Familiarity with color-coded wires and testing equipment
