Proven track record as a Senior Software Engineer in a B2B SaaS, enterprise software or similarly reliability-critical environment.
Strong conceptual understanding of web application architecture
APIs, data models, distributed systems, security, observability and deployment
technology-agnostic and able to reason at the right level of abstraction.
Excellent communicator in English (near-native level): you explain complex topics clearly, listen actively and collaborate constructively with engineers, product developers and non-technical stakeholders alike.
Self-motivated and curious: you investigate problems independently, identify risks proactively and move things forward without needing every next step defined for you.
Pragmatic, not dogmatic: you apply engineering principles to the actual context, distinguish necessary quality from unnecessary complexity and ship things that work
reliably.
Confident working with AI tools as a multiplier of your own capacity, while maintaining full accountability for what you deliver and a critical eye on AI-generated output.
Comfortable with ambiguity and change: you design for evolution, not for a fixed specification, and you thrive in a fast-moving scale-up environment where things shift quickly.
Background in start-up or scale-up environments is a strong plus; domain knowledge in manufacturing or pricing is not required.
