We are looking to add a Proposal Specialist to our expanding client acquisition team.
Central to the role is developing written and visual content for client acquisition, from new business pitches to RFP responses and detailed engineering studies.
You’ll help us articulate our value proposition in our distinctive voice to prospective, new, and existing clients.
Collaborate with teams in the US and Canada, focusing on Quebec and Ontario and supporting the US, reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications.
Contribute with your colleagues across the entire business development cycle, from early-stage presentations and studies to RFSQs/RFPs and business proposals.
Participate in proposal strategy sessions to determine the proposal response approach and concept by identifying and clarifying requirements, opportunities, and needs.
Coordinate and communicate proposal development activities among internal team members and external partners.
Meet deadlines by prioritizing schedules for information gathering, writing, editing, design, reviews, and approvals; coordinate contributor requirements and provide proposal status updates at review meetings.
Edit for quality, clarity, and impact, working with graphic designers and illustrators to maximize visual communication.
Maintain quality standards for readability, consistency, accuracy, and tone.
Improve results by evaluating and redesigning processes, approach, coordination, and templates; implement changes.
Lead awards applications for existing projects.
Requirements
University degree in Writing/Communications, English Literature, Journalism, or Business.
5+ years’ relevant experience, especially managing RFPs and editing professional and persuasive writing.
MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills.
Familiarity with Adobe Suite, especially InDesign.
Previous experience in energy/infrastructure/engineering or other professional services firm an asset.

Bilingual French and English preferred but not required.
