About this role
Role Overview
Assist the Project Manager in the overall administration of the project, from pre-construction to closeout.
Take a lead role in managing project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes.
Help prepare and maintain project status reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in preparing and controlling the project budget by actively tracking job costs and labor productivity.
Help prepare detailed bid documents and participate in the subcontractor buyout and negotiation process.
Process and track change orders, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
Serve as a key point of contact for subcontractors, architects, and engineers to resolve day-to-day technical issues.
Assist the Superintendent in developing and managing the project schedule to ensure milestones are met.
Participate in and help lead jobsite coordination meetings, contributing to problem-solving and planning.
Champion Ryan’s "Safety First" culture and assist in ensuring the highest standards of quality control.
Take the lead in managing the project punch list process to ensure a timely and successful completion.
Assist in the compilation of all final closeout documentation, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the commercial construction industry.
A passion for learning about technically complex projects is essential.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project management fundamentals.
Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore and Building Connected.
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
A proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused mindset with the ambition to grow into a Project Manager role.
