Role Overview
- Responsible for the preparation, maintenance and operation of the diverse range of Uncrewed Systems assets for Test & Evaluation trials
- Involved with scheduled and routine maintenance of the Uncrewed Systems within the scope of the approved data and manuals
- Building, functional testing, repairing and the disassembly of Uncrewed Systems and associated payloads in accordance with approved data
- Operating and maintaining Uncrewed Systems during trials
- Problem solving and fault diagnosis on Uncrewed Systems and associated equipment
- Ensuring that every effort is made to achieve the Customer target requirements
- Applying all standards required by the relevant Air Publications, OEM Manuals, QinetiQ Operating Framework and CAA Regulatory Publications
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience of working in a regulated and safety focused environment on Uncrewed Systems
- UAS flying experience
- Experience and knowledge of a variety of Uncrewed Systems technologies and types
- Demonstrable high level of IT competence including the ability to learn new systems as required
- Using Online Manuals and maintenance recording solutions
- Possession of CAA Remote Piloting qualifications (Highly Desirable)
- Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical) or have completed a relevant engineering apprenticeship
- Professionally registered as an Eng Tech (or capable of progressing to Eng Tech)
- Full UK Driving Licence
