Responsible for the ongoing management and operation of a critical managed services platform
Directly leading a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts
Overseeing activities of developers and testers to ensure effective planning and execution of platform initiatives
Planning, managing, and overseeing activities for compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements
Managing project initiation activities, including identifying client requirements and business objectives
Ensuring all platform changes and releases align with operational standards
Developing and maintaining delivery and resource plans for platform management activities
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support effective operation and evolution of the platform
Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular engagement
Leading change management activities associated with platform releases
Supporting recruitment, development, coaching, and performance management of Project Managers and Business Analysts
Acting as the primary liaison between technical and non-technical teams
Coordinating activities and resources across multiple technical and business teams
Managing delivery risks, issues, dependencies, and project progress
Managing third-party vendors and subcontractors
Overseeing platform customisation and integration with FIS and third-party solutions
Delivering informative and decision-focused presentations to stakeholders
Identifying process gaps and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Extensive experience in Project Management, Programme Management, and/or Release Management
Proven experience within the FinTech industry, particularly in payments
Significant leadership experience, including people management and team development
Strong knowledge of merchant acquiring, payment switching, and clearing
Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies, standards, processes, and governance frameworks
Experience managing projects across a variety of delivery methodologies and lifecycles, including Agile, Waterfall, traditional phased delivery, rapid delivery, and conversion programmes
Knowledge of industry standards relevant to card payments, including AS2805, ISO8583, and related standards
Strong understanding of the financial services sector and payments ecosystem
Advanced proficiency with project and programme management tools
Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, resource plans, and delivery schedules
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and time management skills
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to engage confidently and effectively with executive-level client stakeholders
