About this role
Role Overview
Supports all clinical practice sites with billing and pre-arrival duties including processing billing charges and follow-up of billing and collections
Enters demographic and insurance/referral information into electronic medical record
Performs specialized duties with minimal supervision
Contacts necessary insurance companies and patients for benefit verification and pre-certification of therapy procedures
Maintains open communication with providers and referring physicians
Documents and notifies necessary parties of pre-certification when received
Compiles necessary documentation for pre-certification processes
Performs quality improvement activities to ensure appropriate clinical outcomes
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
Bookkeeping/Accounting And/Or Medical Collection Setting (2 Years)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
