About this role
Role Overview
Support in the risk classification of AI applications
Assist in categorizing AI systems according to internal criteria and regulatory requirements
Provide input for risk assessments through documentation, research and compilation of information
Contribute to the development and further enhancement of AI governance processes
Create checklists, standards and templates
Prepare coordination meetings with relevant committees
Perform tasks in legal monitoring related to AI law
Monitor relevant legal developments
Draft brief overviews, short legal opinions or memo notes
Support the preparation of training and informational materials
Maintain internal knowledge databases, registries of AI applications and documentation overviews
Adapt complex legal content for non-legal stakeholders
Contribute to transparent communication across the company
Requirements
Enrolled in a law degree, business law or a comparable legal study program — ideally from the 3rd–4th semester onwards
Basic knowledge of German data protection law (in particular the GDPR)
Sound general legal working methods and research skills
Initial experience or strong interest in IT law, digital law or technology law
Interest in legal and regulatory issues surrounding artificial intelligence
Ability to systematically review legal sources and clearly summarize findings
Confident use of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Strong analytical skills
Structured working style with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to present complex matters concisely and tailored to the target audience
Willingness to learn new areas of law
Basic understanding of modern AI technologies is desirable
High reliability and sense of responsibility
Independent, proactive working style
Team player and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
Good communication skills, verbal and written
Very good German language skills
Ideally English language skills for reviewing international sources
