MRI Technologists make a significant difference in a patient’s care.
Delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging allows providers to make informed decisions regarding patient treatment and management.
In this role, you will select proper technical factors based on procedure, diagnosis, age, size, weight and anatomical differences and general health status of patients.
You must demonstrate the knowledge to identify educational needs, obtain a patient’s history, and use easily understood terminology for explaining procedures and care to patients.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Must be registered by the ARRT.
If registry eligible, must pass registry within one year of accepting the position.
Must be licensed by state where required or ARDMS (American registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board).
