Senior DevOps Engineer

Confluence is a global technology solutions provider serving the investment management industry. The company is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support a platform transformation to a cloud-first Azure architecture by building and scaling infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and reliability practices. The role will also help shape DevOps standards, tooling, and deployment processes while partnering with engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Build and scale the platform that underpins our applications
• Design and optimise CI/CD pipelines
• Deliver infrastructure as code
• Enable developers to deploy and operate systems more efficiently and reliably
• Work closely with engineering teams
• Build and scale DevOps foundations, not just maintain them
• Work closely with engineering teams on large scale systems
• Shape platform standards and practices

Requirements:

• Experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform essential)
• Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS also considered)
• Experience with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Scripting or coding experience (Python, PowerShell or similar)
• Understanding of security, compliance, and deployment practices
• Comfortable working across infrastructure and development teams

• Exposure to hybrid or enterprise environments (cloud and on-prem)
• Experience with release strategies such as blue green or canary deployments
• Exposure to financial services or data platforms
