Role Overview
Assisting Occupational Therapists in evaluating client's level of functionality and need for therapy
Implementation of therapy programs developed by the Occupational Therapist, to meet assigned client’s rehabilitation goals and objectives
Provide treatment techniques which include, but are not limited to, activities of daily living, perceptual-motor activities, guidance and use of adaptive equipment, exercises to enhance functional performance, prevocational evaluation and treatment, and use of assistive technology; collecting and accurately recording data on therapy programs
Requirements
An Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy and active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License in applicable state(s)
Minimum of two (2) years related work experience, preferably in a rehabilitation, or long-term care setting
A valid driver's license and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained
Competence in writing, planning, organization and documentation, as well as time management skills
The ability to communicate with families, professionals and co-workers is a must
The ability to demonstrate positive client interaction skills is essential
