Create strategies and multimedia content that connect with customers, dealers and employees
Brainstorm ideas, collaborate with others, develop strategic concepts and craft meaningful, compelling messages that inspire and motivate audiences to take action
Write and edit content in a variety of channels, including: Websites, advertising, news releases, social media, employee communications, video scripts and executive messaging
Partner with various stakeholders to create, develop and execute multi-channel campaigns and communication programs that drive results
Own content planning, assist in production and host episodes of the financial literacy podcast, Our Two Cents
Help manage the site for the online financial literacy program, KEYS by GM Financial® and projects with Marketing
Develop new ideas to support and enhance the overall content strategy
Act as a communication liaison to departments throughout the company
Use strong organizational and project management skills while managing multiple priorities
Consistently manage deadlines and priorities for multiple projects simultaneously
Continually track, measure, evaluate and improve communication efforts that lead to enhanced team member experiences
Requirements
Knowledge of strategic communications concepts, principles and theories
Must be comfortable working both independently and as a team
Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask
Exhibit a strong understanding of marketing theories as related to strategic communications campaigns that are built to drive the reader to take an action
Highly adaptable and quick to learn, with a proven ability to take ownership of unfamiliar tools and projects and make them successful
Experience developing, hosting and producing podcasts or other multimedia storytelling content is a plus
3-5 years of experience in a related communications or marketing role required
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent professional work experience, in journalism, mass communications, public relations or related discipline required
