Responsible for performing admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital.
Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity/compliance checks.
Provide proper patient instructions and collect insurance information.
Process physician orders and provide excellent customer service as measured by Press Ganey.
Operate the telephone switchboard to relay calls as applicable.
Adhere to policies and provide excellent customer service interactions.
Conduct audits of accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits, including demographic and insurance information.
Explain consent for treatment forms to patients and collect signatures as needed.
Requirements
1+ years of customer service experience
Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.
High School Diploma/GED
Required Certification: CRCR (Required within 6 months of hire)
