About this role
Role Overview
Prepare accurate electrical construction cost estimates from conceptual design through final construction documents.
Review construction drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation to develop detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing.
Evaluate labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and installation costs.
Collaborate with engineering teams to clarify scope and identify potential cost impacts.
Assist with budgeting, value engineering, and cost planning throughout project development.
Maintain estimating documentation and support continuous improvement of estimating practices.
Travel occasionally for training, team meetings, and project site visits as needed.
Requirements
5–10 years of electrical estimating experience, preferably within M/E/P, infrastructure, or industrial construction.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction drawings, specifications, and estimating methodologies.
Experience preparing estimates across multiple phases of design development.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software (training will be provided on the firm's proprietary estimating platform).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Willingness to travel occasionally to Parkton, Maryland for training and team meetings.
Willingness to travel periodically for project site visits.
