About this role
Role Overview
- Provide technical consulting for complex geared motor and drive system applications
- Act as a global technical specialist for frequency converters (inverters) and drive automation
- Support Sales and Technical Sales on technically challenging opportunities
- Perform application engineering, sizing, and drive system dimensioning
- Assist with pre-sales commissioning activities and technical customer workshops
- Serve as a global escalation point for complex, inverter-related customer issues
- Develop application notes, design guidelines, best practices, and technical training materials
- Support the development of new application solutions in collaboration with Product Management
- Collaborate closely with international sales organizations, factories, and engineering teams
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical discipline
- Several years of experience in application engineering, drive technology, or industrial automation
- Solid knowledge of frequency converters (inverters) and drive control is required
- Experience commissioning drive systems
- Excellent skills in technical sizing and application engineering
- Good knowledge of geared motors, electric motors, and complete drive systems
- Ability to solve complex technical problems in an international customer environment
- Customer-oriented mindset with a passion for solving technical challenges
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel internationally to support customers, sales organizations, and project activities when required
- Ability to work independently in an international environment
- Good English skills (required); German and other languages are a plus
