Role Overview
- Development, further development and maintenance of web applications in the GIS domain
- Maintenance and expansion of existing applications based on GeoServer technologies
- Technical support and assistance to specialist departments in the use of GIS solutions
- Collaboration with internal and external partners to optimize our systems
- Participation in innovative solutions in the municipal sector
Requirements
- Very good knowledge of PostgreSQL/PostGIS
- Expert knowledge of Java — in particular for developing web applications with GeoServer
- Very good German skills (at least C2 level) are required — both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the local region (primarily Berlin, Brandenburg, Saxony-Anhalt)
- Desirable: knowledge of C#
- Experience with municipal notification/decision processes and, if applicable, payment systems
- Understanding of workflows in municipal administration
