Support the design and development of mechanical building systems throughout all phases of project delivery.
Produce mechanical drawings, specifications, calculations, and design documentation while applying engineering principles, applicable codes, and industry standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop coordinated, constructible mechanical systems for HVAC, piping, plumbing, hydronic, and equipment systems.
Support construction administration activities and contribute to continuous improvement by incorporating quality feedback and refining design deliverables.
Prepare mechanical drawings, specifications, calculations, and design documentation throughout all phases of project delivery under the guidance of senior engineers.
Develop mechanical system layouts for HVAC, hydronic piping, plumbing, ductwork, and equipment systems using applicable engineering principles, codes, and standards.
Produce equipment schedules, system diagrams, layout plans, and supporting design documentation for mechanical systems.
Utilize CAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software to create and coordinate accurate 2D drawings and 3D models.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers, architects, and other design disciplines to develop coordinated and constructible design solutions.
Support construction administration activities by reviewing shop drawings, responding to Requests for Information (RFIs), participating in site visits, and assisting with field coordination.
Assist in the production of mechanical engineering deliverables from conceptual design through construction documentation while maintaining quality, accuracy, and consistency.
Incorporate quality control feedback and review comments to improve the constructability, coordination, and accuracy of mechanical deliverables.
Participate in continuous learning and professional development to expand technical knowledge and engineering capabilities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) required.
2+ years of experience in mechanical design, building systems design, or a related field required.
