Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the department phlebotomy and/or specimen processing staff in support of the hospital's mission of patient care.
Schedule staff to ensure proper daily coverage.
Provide training and orientation of assigned staff.
Perform laboratory processing at current licensed level.
Make recommendations of positive changes for the department policies, procedures, and practices.
Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring personnel and provide timely orientation of new staff.

Associate degree or higher in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
Must possess current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided: WV: High Complexity Testing Personnel (HCTP) License issued by the WV Department of Health
Three (3) years of laboratory experience
Certified as a Medical Technologist (MT) OR Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by a nationally recognized agency
