Administers medications and vaccines safely following the rights of medication administration.
Maintains a clean work environment ensuring instruments and equipment are cleaned appropriately.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military training per DD214 in lieu of formal medical assistant program or EMT
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required or Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) to be obtained within 45 days
Ability to perform routine and complex technical skills, within the Medical Assistant scope of practice
Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, navigation within a windows operating system, and use of electronic mail with exposure to electronic medical records systems.
