About this role
Role Overview
- Provide detail design services for municipal infrastructure projects
- Conduct and oversee functional planning of engineering elements for municipal infrastructure projects
- Produce detailed final engineering design drawings manually and by computer
- Prepare drainage areas, volume calculations, designs calculations, and hydraulic flow sheets
- Review and respond to engineering designs prepared by staff and private engineering consultant
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in Civil Engineering and/or Architectural Technology
- Minimum three (3) year Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Preferred CET specializing in Civil Engineering or eligibility for membership in the OACETT
- Proven knowledge in design/construction of municipal infrastructure
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations, standard specifications, and practices
- Knowledge of Asset Management operation software i.e. Hansen, WIMS, PRISM, GeoMedia/GIS
